ABOUT SPENDOT
Spendot is a wallet and a spending limit for your dot. You fund it with USDC on Solana, set a daily cap, a per-payment cap and the sites it may pay. Your dot pays for things itself. Each payment lands on a statement. One switch freezes it.
Your dot pays over x402: a site asks for a payment and your dot answers with one from its wallet. Before anything is sent, the payment is checked against your limits. Inside them, it goes through. Outside them, it is refused. Payments settle in USDC on Solana.
No. A dot comes with Spendot and lives in the app. You set the wallet up. Your dot spends from it, and tells you in the app what it paid.
LIMITS
Three. A daily cap, a per-payment cap and a list of allowed sites.
The daily cap is the most your dot may spend in one day.
The per-payment cap is the most any single payment may be. A payment above it is refused, even when the daily cap has room.
The allowed sites list is who it may pay. A site that is not on the list is not paid.
Usage
Open the app, fund the wallet, set the two caps and add the sites. Then your dot can pay inside those limits.
Send USDC on Solana to the funding address shown in the app. Check the asset and the network before you send. A transfer confirmed onchain cannot be reversed.
Four things. One failed check and nothing is sent.
A refused payment shows on the statement with the reason. Change the limit in the app, and your dot can try again.
No. The limits are set by you in the app. Your dot can only pay inside them.
Onchain transfers are irreversible. Funds sent to a wrong address, an unsupported asset or the wrong network may not be recoverable. Check the funding address in the app before you send.
Use the freeze switch. While it is on, every payment is refused. Turn it off and your dot can pay again, inside the limits.
A payment is refused when:
- The wallet is frozen
- The site is not on your list
- It is above the per-payment cap
- It would pass the daily cap
- The balance is too low
The reason is written on the statement next to the attempt.
